A Noble Profession

As I was scanning through some old photographs I happen to came across an old photo clippings of mine. Suddenly I was filled with memories of my days as a paramedic. Though life was hard then, but it was not a deterrent for me to pursue the life of a lifesaver. In order to be a good EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) as they are preferably called today you need to skilled in basic life support, emergency care, basic firefighting and of course the ability to be calm in time of crisis. For me, responding to all emergencies and disasters are unforgettable challenges. These are not accomplishments because saving lives is not an accomplishment, but a way of life.

I remember when we were first starting out we used to sleep outside at the garage because there was no air conditioning unit yet inside the quarters and it was so hot, so we sleep together with the mobiles. The ambulances and firetruck were old refurbished vehicles but
since then a lot has change newer ambulances and equipment arrived through the help of the city government. But the core principles of the institution in which it was built upon still lives on.

It is with great honor and pride to have served with this dedicated, courageous and valiant young men and women
who have "serve so that others may live".

Beach Fun

What better way to relax and have fun!!!

Remembering those fond memories we used to have together kind of brings back some nostalgic moments. Since I went abroad to work I kind of yearn to be the guys. For five years as a paramedic I guess we have a special kind of bonding unlike any other. Going to the beach was our way of relieving everyday stress, to talk about things, to talk about our future and to just have fun. I really missed those times

My Bohol Tour

The one hour and forty five minutes travel to Tagbilaran was uneventful except for the thirty minutes delay on our time of departure. We left for Tagbilaran at around six forty five in the evening and arrive at around nine ten. We were greeted by Mam Chonining who was very much happy to see us again.

Sunrise At Panglao

It has been a long time since I visited Bohol and I've noticed a lot has changed since my last visit. But one thing never ceases to amaze me is its beautiful sunrise. Who wouldn't fall in love with that beauty? It took me a long time to decide what to put in my blog. But then I decided this Bohol tour would be a great start.
